[ Somehow not the weirdest text she's ever gotten, but close. Julia puts down whatever she was working on, grateful for the incoming distraction from her own anxiety. ]

Not all of my friends are okay, but we're getting through this. I guessed as much when they showed up, but I really wanted to be wrong.

[ And then the rest of the text comes through and she isn't sure if Elena is just needing to talk to someone or is needing help, so-- ]

You were trying to help her, what happened after that isn't your fault.

I think we can't take anything here lightly.

( She reads that and then rereads what she'd sent before. )

Well, it is kind of, but that's being a vampire. She's the first vampire I made myself. And I'm going to help her. But, that's why I'm sending this. You said that being a Magician, it's like being a witch. There's a spell I obtained, that I can't perform myself. It's something my friend Bonnie did and another witch at my college. It spells a ring so she can walk in the daylight. Could you take a look at it?

I never pegged you as someone who would abandon someone in a time of need. I'm more than willing to take a look at the spell. And actually, I'm more of a Hedge Witch than Magician - a technicality. Title doesn't really matter. [ Hell, she could throw former Goddess into that mix and it wouldn't make a difference. ]

If you give me a few days and if it's okay for me to ask a few of the other magic users from my world to help me make some changes, we'll hopefully be able to get it to work. The circumstances here are different from our own world for spells, but I'm pretty sure we'll be able to do this.

Alright, I'll get started on this when I can and I'll do my best to keep you posted.

[ That's as much as she can promise right now with everything going on. It was a welcome distraction, though. And something that could be done while operating on her restricted schedule/extra protective measures of limiting her time outside. ]
